A friend said this, "the worst time to be an artist is the best time to be an artist." And I agree.
"Platforms promoting content creation have slowly let content take a backseat and put monetization in the driver’s seat." Well said. I think this is also why it's not just "crème de la crème" that floats to the top, but shit as well. Fortunately, Substack has been able to stay away from that. Subscription-based platforms have done a lot to remind me of what I love about the internet.
